On Mondays, we will normally have service all day and then our Euro class at tonight. Our service hasn’t started and we’re missing class on Thursday because of France, so our Thursday classes got moved to yesterday. Aka we had a really long day. Today we had regular classes, and then we went on a Jack the Ripper walking tour tonight. It started on Tower Hill, and we just walked around the east part of London where Jack the Ripper killed people. It was really fun and interesting. At one point, we walked by this section of wall that used to differentiate what was technically London and what was “outside the walls”, aka the really really poor area. It turns out that had been there since Roman times, and we could see the layers that the Romans built. It was pretty cool to know that the wall in front of us had been standing for hundreds and hundreds of years. One of the girls in the group felt faint at one point and we stopped while she sat on the ground and drank some water. It was kinda weird – this is the first time i’ve been in a group where that happened and it WASN’T me.
